Today I saw a wing of a bird
Resting on the floor.
It was detached from its owner.
It looked so peaceful,
Just laying there on the bare ground
Not trying to fly high or far.
Not trying to beat its companions or itself.
Such a tragic look
A scary one.
To find so much peace in a detached wing.
