I Shall Pray to the Birds and Trees

I shall pray to the birds and trees
For they are the ones who taught me
That flying is possible.
Maybe as a human I cannot fly,
But I refuse to believe that flying is a myth.

And the trees.
I pray to the trees
Who have shown me that growth
Takes time.
Time we all have.

I pray to them both
For they have given me value,
They have given me peace.
